Anxiety is more than just worry—it’s a mental health disorder that can manifest emotionally, physically, and behaviorally, often interfering with how you live your daily life. As common as anxiety is (affecting an estimated 19% of adults in the U.S. annually), it’s also deeply personal, meaning no two experiences are identical. Whether anxiety feels like mounting panic, a quiet sense of dread, or intrusive thoughts that won’t let up, it’s something we believe can be addressed through thoughtful, evidence-based care.
At Monument Recovery, we specialize in Arizona anxiety treatment that gets to the root of these feelings, helping you regain control, balance, and peace of mind. Healing starts by understanding the story behind your symptoms.
Anxiety often develops from a combination of life experiences, biology, and environmental factors—none of which are your fault. It’s not a personal weakness or something you should be able to simply “turn off.” For many people, anxiety builds over time, shaped by both internal and external influences that affect how the brain and body respond to stress. Understanding these underlying causes is an important step toward finding the right support and long-term relief.
The causes of anxiety may include:
A family history of anxiety or other mental health concerns may contribute to your vulnerability.
Imbalances in neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine can play a role in heightened anxiety.
Significant life events or ongoing stressors may trigger heightened levels of anxiety.
Certain traits, like perfectionism or high sensitivity, can predispose individuals to anxiety.
The relationship between substance use and anxiety can be complex, with each often intensifying the other.
These causes are part of your story—but they don’t have to dictate the rest of it. At Monument Recovery, we treat anxiety treatment in Arizona with a whole-person approach, addressing all aspects of your health and history.
Monument Recovery is proud to accept most major commercial insurance plans to help cover up to 100% of the costs associated with treatment at our programs. To find our your personal options, get a free verification of benefits.

Anxiety shows up differently for everyone, but recognizing its signs can help you take steps toward healing. Some common signs of anxiety include:
The signs of anxiety aren’t weaknesses—they’re signals from your body and mind that something deeper needs attention. With our anxiety treatment programs in Arizona, healing is possible, and your symptoms can improve with the right care.
Anxiety isn’t something you need to “push through” or simply endure—it’s a real medical condition that deserves understanding and professional support. When left untreated, anxiety can gradually affect multiple areas of your life, often creating challenges that go far beyond moments of stress or worry.
Over time, chronic anxiety can take a toll on your physical health, contributing to issues such as cardiovascular strain, weakened immune function, and digestive problems. It can also impact your mental well-being, as anxiety and depression frequently occur together, intensifying emotional distress and making it harder to find relief.
Anxiety may also lead to increased isolation, causing you to withdraw from friends, family, and everyday interactions that once felt manageable. In some cases, individuals turn to substances as a way to cope, which can create additional complications and deepen the cycle of distress. As anxiety continues, it can begin to interfere with your goals—whether in school, your career, or personal growth—making it difficult to move forward with confidence.
Without the right support, anxiety can have a far-reaching impact—but you are not powerless. At Monument Recovery, our anxiety treatment in Arizona is designed to help you break these cycles, regain control, and build a life rooted in balance, clarity, and renewed purpose.

When it comes to addressing anxiety, healing is not a one-size-fits-all experience. At Monument Recovery, we tailor each treatment plan to fit your unique needs, strengths, and story. Our focus goes beyond simply reducing symptoms—we empower you to build sustainable wellness.
We believe in meeting you where you are. Every person’s anxiety looks different, so we’ll partner with you to understand your challenges deeply and create a treatment plan that empowers progress.
Healing for anxiety requires both clinical expertise and relational trust. Monument Recovery uses proven, evidence-based techniques in our anxiety treatment programs in Arizona, including:
In some cases, medications may complement therapeutic work to help manage symptoms. Our clinical team provides guidance and careful monitoring, combining medications with holistic treatment approaches.
Located in Mesa, Monument Recovery offers a calm and supportive environment where you can begin to find relief from anxiety. Our team understands how overwhelming and persistent anxiety can feel, and we’re here to help you regain a sense of calm, clarity, and control.

From day one, the staff and therapists treated me with compassion, respect, and genuine care. What sets Monument apart is that they don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. They take the time to get to know each person as an individual and create a treatment plan that fits their specific needs. Their therapists are incredibly knowledgeable, experienced, and passionate about what they do. I am so thankful for everything this treatment center has done for me. I came to Monument at one of the lowest points of my life unsure if sobriety was even possible. From the moment I arrived, I was treated with genuine compassion, respect, and understanding. The staff and clinical team here truly care, and not just about sobriety, but about you as a whole person. Monument went above and beyond to make sure I felt safe, supported, and heard. The program helped me understand myself and addiction in ways I never had before and I was given tools that I continue to use in my recovery today. It also allowed me to build peer connections that I still hold near and dear to my heart. This place didn’t just help me get sober, it helped me rebuild my life and believe in myself again. If you’re hurting and don’t know where to turn, Monument is the place where healing finally starts to feel possible. I can honestly say Monument is one of the most equipped, compassionate, and genuine programs I’ve ever been part of. It isn’t just a facility… it’s a family who truly cares about helping individuals change their lives and regain freedom. Leadership shows up every day with integrity, empathy, and a sincere commitment to be of service. Every department works together to support each client’s healing. Admissions meets clients and families with compassion and zero judgment. The clinical team helps clients process trauma, learn powerful coping skills, and rebuild confidence and purpose. The operations team provides safety, stability, and consistent day-to-day support. Together, they create an environment where real healing can happen. During my time at Monument, I watched countless individuals transform their lives and rebuild relationships they thought were lost forever. Clients aren’t just a number… they are seen, heard, valued, and supported. Staff is educated and informed about substance use, mental health, and co-occurring disorders, and they know how to guide clients through real, lasting change. One thing that always stood out to me was how many clients were so positively impacted that they chose to return as staff. That alone says a lot. Monument doesn’t just help people heal… it helps them grow into leaders, mentors, and individuals who believe in their future again. With nothing but love, thank you to the team at Monument for everything. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity I had to learn, grow, and be part of something so meaningful.
